HIV Prevention Tailored to You
In our clinic, we also assess PrEP, or pre-exposure prophylaxis, a preventive treatment for people without HIV who may be at higher risk of acquiring it. The specialist will determine if it's right for you and explain the necessary tests and follow-up appointments.
Have you recently had a possible exposure to HIV?
Go to the emergency room as soon as possible, without waiting for an appointment. There is a preventive treatment called PEP, or post-exposure prophylaxis, which should be started as soon as possible and within the first 72 hours after exposure.
In the emergency room, we will assess your case and, if indicated, start the treatment. Afterward, you will continue follow-up at Dr. Pérez Stachowski's clinic.
PrEP and PEP are designed to prevent HIV; they do not protect against other STIs.
